Tennis: Forehand / Backhand (live)

Coach rallies with player. Coach stays in ad corner. Coach uses own shots to move player around the court. Player hits all the balls back to the ad corner using only forehand stroke.

Player starts in centre, having recieved a ball from the backhand side of the court. Player has to hit back the 1st backhand the 2nd forehand and finishes with a backhand down the line into the open court.

Coach is stationed on feeding position 2 and players start off middle baseline and moves to hit forehand then moves to hit a backhand.

Player starts in the centre ha to hit the fist shot back to the coach (forehand) hit the 2nd shot back and hit the 3rd shot down the line. Coach feeds the ball from the forehand side of the court.

Coach feeds the ball from centre of court to the players backhand. Players moves from the centre to hit the backhand down the line then recover back to the middle and move to hit a forehand crosscourt.

Coach feeds for the player to do a forehand down the line followed by a forehand cross court. Coach then feeds across the court for a backhand cross court. Then lays a deep feed into the backhand corner for the player to backhand down the line

The coach feeds a ball to the players forehand. The player tries to hit it down the line as accurately as possible before recovering to the centre, another ball is fed to the players backhand for them to hit a cross court shot

Set a group of cones up coach side on the right service line inside the singles sideline.  Coach feeds the ball to the deuce (right) side of the court. Player hits forehand across court aiming for the cones and then runs to the net. Coach feeds another ball down the line. Player finishes with backhand volley across the court.

Players start off in no mans land, then plays the forehand approach, get ths first volley position (Forehand). Player then changes to backhand for second volley down open court.

Player holds the racket in left hand Coach feeds the balls to the forehand side Player switches the racket to the right hand and moves to the ball to hit forehand. After the shot, player switches the racket again to the left hand and recovers to the centre

Basket is placed in front of the player with one racket on top of it Player holds other racket and starts the exercise Player switches the racket and moves to the deuce side to hit forehand Players recovers and switches the rackets again before the next repetition

Players start off in centre and plays a forehand down the line then recovers back to the centre. To then run towards the short ball and hits this one down the line or cross court.

Coach, 2 players, and a basket of tennis balls. Players 1 and 2 start off on the baseline, and each work on half a court. Coach feeds balls for the players to play deep forehand shots moving across the baseline, in their half of the court. Coach then feeds balls for the players to move back across the baseline, and play deep backhand shots. Drill continues until basket of balls runs out.

Coach, 2 players, and a basket of tennis balls. Player 1 starts off on the centre of the baseline. Coach feeds ball 1 to the corner of the singles court for player 1 to play a forehand down the line. Coach feeds ball 2 to the opposite side of the court just in front of service box for player 1 to run on to and play a backhand down the line. Coach feeds ball 3 to the opposite side of the court halfway up the service box for player 1 to run on to and play a forehand down the line. Coach then feeds ball 4 to the opposite side of the court just in front of the net for player 1 to run on to and play a backhand down the line. Coach has to move backwards along the line to deliver the feeds. Drill repeated with player 2.

Coach, 3 players, and a basket of balls. Players 1,2 and 3 line up on the baseline. The coach feeds 3 balls. Players 1 and 2 play deeps forehands, and player 3 a deep backhand. Coach feeds 3 balls. Players 1 and 2 play a mid court forehand, and player 3 a mid court backhand. Coach feeds 3 balls. Players 1 and 2 play a forehand volley, and player 3 a backhand volley. Coach feeds 3 high balls for all players to play forehand smashes. Players rotate positions and return to starting point. Drill continues.

Coach, 4 players, and a basket of tennis balls. Player 1 starts off on the centre of the baseline. Coach feeds ball 1 to the corner of the singles court for player 1 to play a cross court forehand. Coach feeds ball 2 to the opposite side of the court just in front of service box for player 1 to run on to and play a backhand down the line. Coach feeds ball 3 down the centre of the court for player 1 to run on to and play a short cross court forehand. Player 1 joins the queue. Drill repeated with player 2/3/4.

Drill Set-Up: Players line up on the centre and moves out to play first forehand and then runs around backwards and plays forehand. Topic of Emphasis: After the first forehand the player needs to back peddle with the racket turned and should step away from the ball prior to contact. Variation: Players can alternate directions and coach can feed from 1 - 3 positions.

Player position on backhand corner and moves out to play wide ball on the run and plays it crosscourt. Opposite player moves out and play crosscourt. Both player play the point out.

Players start in the centre and hit four shots from the coach's feed: The first shot should be a deep forehand. Second shot is a short forehand. Third shot is a short backhand. Finally the fourth shot is a deep backhand.

Player stands in one corner and the coach feeds a difficult ball to the other corner. Player runs and hits the ball on the run in cross court direction.
