2 lines - Forehand and Backhand | Forehand & Backhand Drill

2 lines - Forehand and Backhand:

Players start in two lines, one behind the deuce service box and the other behind the advantage box.

Coach feeds balls alternately to players on their left and right. Players on the coach's left hit forehands and those on coach's right hit backhands.

Players are aiming to put the ball away, as close to the baseline as possible.

Attacking forehands on the move:

Coach feeds three balls per player from the basket.

Players should aim to hit the targets (as in diagram - can use cones to mark out targets).

The aim is to encourage players to progressively attack on the move.

Cross court inside-out forehands | Forehand Drills

Cross court inside-out forehands:

The coach feeds the first ball in and then players have to keep the rally going, running around the ball to play a cross-court forehand into the coned area.

So player 1 hits the ball to player 1 on the other team who then returns to player 2 and so on.

backhand and forehand Dead ball:

Coach feeds the ball from centre of court to the players backhand. Players moves from the centre to hit the backhand down the line then recover back to the middle and move to hit a forehand down the line.
