DESCRIPTION

  • The player rallies with the coach using forehand cross-court
  • After every shot, player moves to the cones and changes the location of the ball

COACHING POINTS

  • In this drill player works on forehand cross-court consistency as also on speed and coordination
  • After every shot, the player has to change the position of the ball that is placed on one of 2 cones which requires both physical and mental effort
  • The player learns to do it all under the pressure of time so the precision is needed to be able to maintain long rally
  • The coach can set number of shots that the player should reach in one rally to put emphasis on the final goal of every point
