Basketball: Fast Break and Lay Up

I can't get enough of Sportplan. It's given me back the enthusiasm...
Cornel

DESCRIPTION

The idea of this drill is to develop the fast break, with one player dribbling down the middle of the court and the other 2 players acting as outlet players each side.

The the ball starts in the middle. This player (1) passes to the outlet player on their right (2). The player with the ball (2) then dribbles directly down the middle of the court. The player that passed (1) the ball then sprints down the right side of the court. The player who dribbled the ball (2) will then pass to this player (1) so they can make a lay up.

Once the shot has been taken the passer (2) should get the rebound and outlet to the player who made the shot (1).
