The player starts with a ball from the left cone, runs to the second cone and hits the ball on the move towards the target. Then when the ball has crossed the line, the player can start withe the next ball but this time he/she has to run with the ball to the left cone and either pull the ball back and hit, or run past the ball and hit it at the target.

Skill Circuit

Figure of 8 around the cone

There are two options on how to hit: either put the ball on the side line and hit a static ball move the ball off the spot and hit a rolling ball. (If the player chooses the second option, the ball has to be hit in front of the two metre line).

Skill Circuit

Leading, receiving and ball carrying.

Player 1 (P1) Dribbles through the cones and passes to P2 who moves towards the cone to receive the pass. P2 then passes to P3 who moves towards the cone to receive the pass and passes to P4. P4 then moves towards the cone to receive the pass and then dribbles and crosses for P5, who moves towards the cone to receive the pass and shoots. P6 then starts off dribbling through the cones and passes to P7 who moves towards the cones to receive the pass and then passes to P8. P8 then makes a lead to get free before dribbling through cones and then passes to P9 who receives the ball in their stride and dribbles through cones and crosses to P10 who gets free and shoots.

Skill Circuit

Mobility Test

Players must slalom through the cones as many times as possible in 30 seconds.

Skill Circuit

Off the right foot test

Players have to start with a ball run with the ball and try to pass the ball off the right foot through the target area.

Skill Circuit

Pull Back

Player runs to the left of the cone and pulls the ball back. He/she then runs to the next cone etc. On completion of the circuit, give the ball to the next player. 3 - 4 players per group, if space is limited and there are more then 4 players per group, use 2 balls.

Skill Circuit

Scoring Test

Scoring system Six cones placed as above on the side line. Each player has to try and score nine points. Each ball can only be hit once the previous ball has crossed the scoring line, side line or stopped rolling. The time is stopped on scoring nine or more points. If the player fails to score nine points with six balls a nil is scored. Each player needs to do the exercise three times only and all three scores should be recorded. This scoring system is for test 5,6,7 & 8.

Skill Circuit

Shuttle dribble

Player runs up and down from cone to cone. It's important to keep facing the cones throughout.

Skill Circuit

Skill technique circuit

There should be approximately 4 players on each of the 3 stations in this drill. The player at the top of the pitch (player 2) starts with the ball and passes player 1 on the wing. Player 1 should run in field to meet the pass. Player 1 then lifts the ball over the stick and runs with the ball to the 3 cones, performs a reverse stick drag and then progresses down the field to the 3rd cone. In the mean time players 2 and 3 have both made a run into the D to receive the ball back from player 1 and score a goal.

Skill Circuit

Slalom test

How quickly can your players dribble through the cone slalom, from one side the pitch the other? Slalom includes wide slalom, Indian dribble and a circle around the final cone before sprinting through the gate. Time taken from start of course to when the ball is stopped on the finish line.

Skill Circuit

Space Pass

Player has to pass the ball from one square to the other square. He/she is only allowed to control the ball inside the square and not outside.

Skill Circuit

Speed Work

Player runs up and down slalom. Players should look ahead of the ball.

Skill Circuit

Sprint test
