Using approx 1/4 pitch zone. Two squares (1m) approx 20 yards apart.
Ball sits on top of cone in each square (the castle)
8-9 attackers to start. 1 defender
Objective:
Attackers to knock both the castles (balls on cones) over.
Defender needs to guard the area, moving attackers away and blocking angles/passes.
Game ends when both castles knocked down..then change defender.
Variation: Add another defender
Attackers:
Use space to attack both cones. If only 1 defender is in play then attackers have option to switch the play if attackers are near the castle that is not being defended.
Encourage passing and buid up between teammates to create angle to attack (ideally not just shooting from distance)
Defenders:
Use surfboard technique to block and move attackers away from nearest castle
Awareness to see where the angle of attack is and moving quickly to block the angle away from the castle
