DESCRIPTION

Basic RAMP Warm-Up Example. Can be modified. Look to work through all the different movement types. 

Part 1 - Jog and Dynamic Stretches

Long list to select from;

  • High knees
  • Heel Flicks
  • Sidesteps
  • Groin Adductions
  • Backwards Groin Abductions
  • Side/Front Kickouts
  • Short High Instep (Side Foot Volley)
  • Leg Back/Arm up
  • Lateral High Knees + Hold?
  • Lunges + Twist?
  • Squats
  • Jumps
  • Hops
  • Single LEg, Stiff Leg Romanian Dead Lift
  • Lateral Shuffle into Groin Stretch
  • Skips
  • Jockey
  • Back Jockey
  • Arms Cross Body
  • Arm Circles
  • Heel Walk
  • Lunge and T-Spine Twist

etc.

Part 2 - Static Stretch individually, not needed but can help players mentally. No longer hold than 5 seconds.

Part 3 - Can easily change and adapt the exercises shown. Begin to increase speed Look to include;

  • Lateral movement
  • Quick Feet
  • Engage Hip with Movements Such As High Knees
  • Hops/Jumps if not included earlier on
  • Sprinting
  • Accel and Decell
