Activity 1: Cone Raider

Very good interactive coaching drills.

DESCRIPTION

  • Split to group into 2 teams, each team will pick one defender for each round.
  • odd number of cones inside a 10m x 10m square. 10m opposite ends of the sqaure as a starting point for each team. One defender in front of the box for each team
  • first team to collect the larger number of cones wins the round.
  • Have all players take turns as defenders.
  • Attackers go one at a time, attacker has a bib as a tail, if defender snatches tail before attacker gets in the box, defender wins, switch attackers.
  • Defender cannot snatch tail of attacker when attacker is inside the cone box, or starting point.
