Organisation
The activity is set up as shown but the areas and numbers can be changed according to the age and ability of your young players. This is aimed at the 5 and 6 year old player.
How to Play
Each player has a ball and they are either a Yellow bib or a Blue bib.
The players wearing the different bibs are given two coloured cones to remember (Blue bibs might have white and black cones to remember and Yellow bibs will have yellow and red)
The players are moving around the area with their ball and completing lots of different ball mastery challenges:
Use right foot only, left foot only, dribble fast, turn when you meet another player etc.
On the signal by the coach all players run with their ball around BOTH of the coloured cones they have been given before coming back into the area to continue the ball mastery activities. When the players are travelling there will be lots of interference as other players move, this is great for them to react to and still go fast.

Roughly a fifth of Premier League goals come from set pieces, and the gap between teams who plan their routines and teams who do not has never been wider. Here is how the modern set-piece specialists design attacking corners, free kicks, and throw-ins - and how you can apply their ideas at any level.
The next frontier in football coaching is not physical, it is mental. Cognitive load training - the deliberate use of perception, decision-making and dual-task demands inside football drills - is reshaping how the best academies develop players. Here is what it means and how to use it.
If the last decade taught us about pressing, this one is teaching us about what stands behind it. Rest defence is the shape your team holds while attacking, and it is the difference between dominating a game and getting picked off on the counter.
