DESCRIPTION

  • 5v5 Gks
  • Conditioned game for the 1st 20 minutes
  • The condition is that the team in possession has free reign of the field, whilst the team out of possession must stay in their required 3rds. This allows for plenty of overloads all over the pitch
  • If the team out of possession win the ball back they then have free reign, can they counter attack before the opposition re-shape.

Progression:

  • The ball is not allowed to stop. If it does stop your team loses possession

  • Each time the ball is passed the player making the pass must show for a combination

  • There is a time limit in each square, they must score in this time

  • In the defensive section the team has 6 seconds in which to shoot; In the midfield section the team has 4 seconds in which to shoot; In the attacking section the team has 3 seconds in which to shoot

  • 25 minutes will be played as a normal 2 goal game
  • 4 minutes play 1 minute rest

Coaching Points:

  • Can the team in possession support as quickly as possible.
  • When, where, why and how to create an overload and transition
  • 25 minutes free play should be minimal coaching.
