DESCRIPTION

  • Goalkeeper faces server one between flexi boundary poles. 
  • Serve 2 will have 5 footballs in an arch at different angles.
  • Server 1 continously volleysthe ball into the GK hand to catch. 
  • At any time, server 2 can shout 'GO' which means, GK has to spin around, and stop server 2 from scoring. 
  • Server 2 can stand at any angle theirefore keeper has to adjust their positioning dependingon the angle of the shot. 

Progressions

  • Server 1 serving different shots. left/right dives, high ball, scoop. 
  • Change the distance of server 2 footballs and alter angles. 

 

COACHING POINTS

Coaching Points 

  • Making sure GK are on their toes at all times.
  • Spin around quickly with short steps and narrow angle.
  • make sure GK is covering correct part of the goal. If GK leave one side open, stop and show.
