Split the players into two even teams.
Set out an area with 2 halves and a RED zone down the middle that no player can go inside.
Be sure not to make the area too big and no more than 6v6.
Players start at the far ends of their zone with 6 balls placed in the RED zone.
On the coaches command of GO; players are to try to pass the ball with their feet to hit one of the opposition players. All passes must be on the ground as if a pass hits a player above the knee, this does not count as a point. Each time they hit a player on the other team who does not control the ball and the pass is below the knee; the passer receives 1 point. If the receiver controls the ball and keeps the ball close; the receiver will achieve 2 points and the passer receives 0.
Players may choose to dodge a pass if they feel they cannot control the ball so no points are won.
Progressions
Replace point scoring by introducing knocking people out of the match. Now if a player is hit without controlling the ball; they are out of the game and must stand on the outside of the game.
If a player controls a pass; the passer is out of the game and 1 player from the receiver's team is back in the game. The game is won when all players on one team are out of the game.
-Can the passers show excellent accuracy when opposing players are either stood still or on the move.
-Can the passers show good power with their passes.
-Can the receiver control a pass coming to them.
-Can the receiver show agility and problem solving abilities to make a decision on dodging a pass if they feel it is too hard to control.
-Players can take as many touches on the ball as they like in order to get into a preferred position so must show close ball control.
