Possession - Game related Activity
Blue team pass / run with ball into red team area (scoring zone) kick ball into net to score.
Red Team pass / run with ball in blue team scoring zone. Enter zone with ball or receive pass in zone to score.
Possession of ball is transfered when tackled by opposition player or ball is intercepted.
Player can choose to run with the ball if space available to enter or pass to player in better position
Player challenges:
a) Run to evade tackle
b) Complete # passes before score
c) Each player receives ball before score
d) limit opposition to # passes before turnover of possession
Progression:
a) Reduce / increase scoring zone
b) Section scoring zone (more points for centre of zone / less for outer of zone)
c) Uneven teams
* keep game flowing - individual coaching points for players whilst game ongoing
** encourage team strategy / tactics during small breaks in play
