DESCRIPTION

  • Two teams are lined up behind two cones at opposite ends of the pitch
  • They each have to number themselves (starting from 1 and onwards)
  • The coach then calls out a number corresponding to one of the participants
  • Whe a participants number is called, they must sprint around the box in the middle until they complete a full lap
  • Once they complete a lap, the participant must run to the ball in the middle of the square and score in the opposing goal
  • Once they shoot, the participant must go and retrieve the ball, put it back in the middle and go back to their line

COACHING POINTS

  • Stick tight to the square when running the lap
  • Get a shot off as quickly as possible
  • Have a first touch that takes the ball as close to the goal as possible
  • Keep an eye on your opponent when you complete your lap
