Activity to encourage awareness of surroudnings whilst dribbling the ball and improve close control in a congested area.
Set 4 outer target cones in a diamond shape (blue) with one central target cone (white). Scatter obstacle cones in between these target cones (orange).
Players must start at one outer cone and dribble around the centre cone before heading to an outer cone. Repeat this until all outer cones have been rounded (as shown in animation).
Variations:
Adding more obstacle cones or reduce the overall area to increase challenge.
Add a defender able to pressure (not tackle) to increase awareness required.
Increase target cones to create a longer activity for personal training outside of a group session.
Reduce obstacles to simplify where necessary.
