Start with a static line of 4 defenders and four attackers.
The coach will roll the ball in to the attackers from the half way line and they will attempt to get a shot on goal.
Immediately after their shot, the coach will roll a new ball in at the HW line and the defenders will then become the attackers.
Each team must adapt to their new shape, get onside and either attack or defend.
If the defensive team wins the ball from the attackers, they must play it back to the goal keeper who can pick it up.
Do this at both ends of the pitch with 9 players for 1/2 pitch.
This is high energy and will teach the players to go from defence to attack and visa versa.
To increase the running and complexity, both halfs can be mixed up at the right time. So the blue defenders could then become the attackers in the other half of the pitch.
Move from defending to counter attacking.
Quick movement of the ball.
