Play an evenly sided game with no limitations on touches passes or shots on goals. The idea behind this session is to learn how to keep the ball no matter where you are on the pitch.
Coach will shout 3 different cues throughout the game which will indicate different things.
1. POSSESSION - the team in possession will keep the ball in their own half and away from the oppossition. If the oppossing team wins the ball back they will need to do the same - so retreat , get the ball in their half and keep the ball. No scoring when this is in play.
2. NORMAL - the game returns to normal with no limitations on touches or shots on goal etc.
3. BARCA - same as the possesion game, although the team with the ball need to keep the ball in the oppositons half. If the other team wins the ball back they need to progress up the field and get the ball in the oppositions half and keep it their. Again no scoring when this play is going on.
