DESCRIPTION

SKILL FOCUS: Acceleration, speed and finishing with transition to defend.

EQUIPMENT: Marker cones, goal posts & soccer ball.

WHAT TO DO:

Setup:

  • Place a square playing area from the goal posts with the marker cones.
  • Place marker cones form where the players are allowed to try shooting a goal.
  • Place two marker cones outside the play area for where the teams will line up.

Playing the game:

  • Divide the class into two teams A and B.
  • Team A will decide on a goal keeper as they will be the defenders.
  • Team B will start with the soccer ball as they are the attack team.
  • One member of team A will face one member of team B.
  • When a goal is score team B will receive a point.
  • After all members tried to score a goal of team B, team A and B swop positions.
  • Now the game repeats.
