DESCRIPTION

Objective: To play central from server and finish either 1 v 1 against the keeper or with defender after recovery run.

Detail:

  • Half pitch practice but mostly using in and around the penalty area.
  • Mark out 24 wide (width of 18 yard box) and 3 either side for recovery run.
  • 8 players to begin with.
  • Rotation of roles as and when required.
  • Movement of attacker to set up body position to strike on goal.
  • Angle, speed and depth.
  • Server reading flight and weight of pass to decide to play of 1 or 2 touch.
  • Observe movement & position of defender and goalkeeper.
  • Selecting technique to finish depending on variables above.
  • Concentrate to execute finish.
