DESCRIPTION

Objective: Control the ball to turn in an opposed practice.

Detail:

  • Extend above area into 30 x 30 and create central square.
  • Keeping the players in pairs, 1 inside and 1 outside.
  • Players on outside with the ball, pass into middle through markers.
  • Players on the inside, control and turn then attack middle square where there is a defender (passive to begin with).
  • Then play 3 v 1 where 1 inside player defends.
  • Changes roles & repeat.
  • Move body in line with the ball.
  • Offer surface area to control.
  • Relax surface on impact.
  • Prepare next pass.
