Turning with the ball and 1v1 situation

DESCRIPTION

Create 2 stations to avoid any queues. Separated players as shown in the image.

PROGRESSION

Player A passes to player B who turns as demonstated by the coach. Pay special attention to the use of the hand from player B against the defender behind him. Player B sprints up to enter the yellow box and go 1v1 against player C. Player C is not allowed to exit the yellow box. 

PLAYER B TURNING MOVES

  • Inside of the foot (Right/Left)
  • Outside of the foot (Right/Left)
  • Behind the foot (Right/Left)

PLAYER C NOTES

  • Sprint towards the attacker and stop 1m away from him.
  • Be aware of the attackers strong foot. Position your body giving him space to play with his weak foot.
  • Lower your body position to be able to react faster.

  • Body position when turning with the ball
  • Correct use of the foot when turning
  • Defenders body positioning

  • Awareness
