Technical Warm-up: Shielding Ball w/ bottom of foot

DESCRIPTION

In this warm-up, playes will use the bottom of the foot to move the ball around the cones.  Throughout the drill, players will face the same direction.

  • Side 1: Use bottom of left foot to roll ball from left to right.
  • Side 2: Use bottom of either foot to roll ball forward
  • Side 3: Use bottom of right foot to move ball from right to left.
  • Side 4: Use bottom of either foot to roll ball backwards.

COACHING POINTS

Variations:

  • Sheild and Stop: stop ball after each touch.
