DESCRIPTION

  • Defensive players in the coned square keep the ball away from the Attacking team.
  • When the attacker gains possession via interception or tackle he can play the ball out wide to one of his teammates.
  • Once the ball is outside of the square the attacking team can attack the goal and the defensive team are allowed to leave the square and defend.
  • Attackers are encouraged to move the ball with intent as quickly as possible to make the most of the counter.
  • This exercise also doubles up as a defensive practise to organise their shape quickly and stop the attack.
