1. GK receiving rolled and thrown balls in air and to feet, no diving required. 5 repetitions of the following: - using each foot - low to floor - into body - to side to get in line with - high 2. GK diving from stood position bouncing ball for comfortable dive (5 each side) 2. Progress the distance of the ball being bounced so diving becomes more stretched (3 more each side). 3. GK shows sideways suffle movement and quick feet through cones - ball is played as GK reaches the gate at end of slalom where GK needs to dive (2 repetitions)
- getting in line with ball, body behind it where possible - pull ball into body where possible - weight on balls of feet when moving. adjusting footwork when running into line. Diving: - controlled dives with striding leg leading the fall - pull ball into body - Trap ball on floor with stretched dive.
