Two lines of players (5 per line) one team with bibs one without (or two different colour bibs). Give each players a number from 1-5 for both teams. Coach shouts out a number those players then race around the out side of the cones while the coach rolls a ball into the playing area, first player in is the attacker second player is the defender. Attacker must make a pass to his team before he can attempt to score in the cones set up by the coach. Use different colout cones for the goals.
Look for reaction and pace of players when there number is called. Look at the attackers quility of pass and movement for return pass under pressure Look at defenders position when they get into the box. Do they defend the player or the space. Try and encourage the defending player to jocky and shield the attacker rather than tackling.
