This exercise is focussed on creating opportunities for our fullbacks to overlap particularly during counter attack situations where the opposition fullbacks have pushed up. The rotation sees the following occur: - Fullback plays the ball into 6 - 6 plays the ball into the feet of the winger - Winger plays the ball into the feet of the 9 and continues their run towards the back post - The 9 plays the ball back to the 6 who attempts to feed the ball into space for the fullback to control and cross into the winger who has cotinued their run Rotation: - Fullback replaces winger - Winger replaces 9 - 9 replaces 6 - 6 returns to the end of the line
- Timing of runs from fullback and winger - Quality balls into feet - First touch control to take the ball into the direction you want to go - Weighting of the ball from the 6 into the path of the fullback - Quality crossing into the box
