Get the participants to play a 6v6 game and just observe for the first 10 minutes and it is likely that there will be a lack of passing.
Stop the game and break it down into the passing skill and separate the 2 teams into separate groups and get them to participate in a passing drill.
Within each group of 6 there should be 4 'attackers' and 2 'defenders' and the aim is for the attackers to keep the ball by regularly passing and moving which will need to be encouraged. This drill should last for approximately 10 minutes with regular rotation of the defenders.
After the drill go back into a game scenario but play with a maximum of 3 touches before either passing or shooting to encourage passing in a game situation.
