Explanation
The ball starts with the goal keeper and he plays the ball out from the back to a defender, attackers must press high and attempt to win the ball. Once they have won the ball they must transition into attack and attempt to score in the goal. This game is much like the previous week’s session expect this time it is free flowing play, only stopping when a point is scored or ball out of play.
When playing it out from the back defenders must attempt to dribble the ball over the blue line to score a point, once they have played the ball over the line possession will restart with the attackers from the half way.
Much like the previous session the aim is to replicate in game high pressing however within a more game related environment which is constantly moving with free play and changing.
Players should be encouraged to make decisions such as when to press and when to delay the play if overloaded. Also they should be encouraged to be organised and use communication in order to complete the task more effectively, players should be questioned on why they chose to use certain tactics or actions to further understanding.
