Create a grid approximately 24x15. Split the field in two equal horizontal fields. Play 3v3 inside the grid with 4 outside players playing the role of the back 4.
PROGRESSION
Play begins with the back 4 players maintaining their position without entering the field. Teams need to cooperate to move the ball from one side to the other and maintain possesion. The 3 midfielders need to provide support to the back four players. Aim of the drill is for players on the sides to move the ball around, maintain shape to advance the ball to the midfielders. Aim of the midfielders is to support the outside players by giving appropriate angles and distances whilst also being on different vertical and horizontal lines. Advice at least one midfielder to stay on a different box to provide a different passing option.
