This possession practice is an idea for younger players to help give them more time and space on the ball, whilst also still having to think about pressure and DFs.
One team (reds) have to keep possession of the ball
Blue team has to get the ball back from reds. The trick is, that blue team have a ball each dribbing around the grid, so they will be hindered in their ability to apply full pressure. Thus, giving reds more time and space on the ball, hopefully increasing succuess.
Progressions
The setup of this practice allows you to coach some aspects that are disussed in the positinal and other possession practices in this secrtion, but which may be too advanced fort younger players.
It will also help younger players get more repetition of starting to pass and move the ball, and getting their head up to try and look for passes.
