Set up a square area approximately 20x20 yards, with a player on each corner wearing different coloured bibs, and one player in the middle.
The player in the middle has the ball.
Game: The coach calls out a colour and the player in the middle has to pass to the player wearing that coloured bib, then the coach calls out a different number and so on...
The player in the middle has to try and complete the highest possible number of passes in a certain time (recommended 2 or 3 minutes). After their time is up, they swap places with one of the other players.
The drill finishes when every player has had a turn in the middle.
Coaches should be encouraging players to pass with accuracy and intensity, trying to complete as many passes as possible whilst ensuring each pass arrives at the players' feet.
