Attacking drill get players to work an opening through to the forwards.
2 players start with a ball in a midfiled area and have to work the ball between them in that area until they can find an opening past the defending zone to the attacking area where 1 striker is trying to find space to recieve the ball.
Defender/s in the defending zone will be moving accross there zone to prevent a pass into the attacking zone.
PROGRESSIONS:
2 defenders in defensive zone
Midfielders to support attacker after pass or allowed to dribble through
defender allowed to fall back to defend, or move forward to press
Good body shape to recieve passes
Quick passes, make pitch wide so difficult for defender, patience before moving ball forward.
Good movement and body shape from striker.
Defender to take good position to prevent pass to striker, good awareness behind as well as infront of them
