Setup See attached diagram Instructions The course is to be completed 1 player at a time. The coach will blow their whistle to indicate the start of the timer, the player will start their attempt at this time. The player must attempt each section in turn before moving on to the next. The coach is to follow the player at all times, keeping track of the score. Rules Section 1: 1 point for each ball passed successfully through the cones COACH - check technique, ensure player is looking at the pass and using the instep Section 2: 3 points for a complete run -1 point for each cone hit 2 bonus points for a clear run If the player looses control, they must move on to the next section, and no points are awarded Section 3: 3 points for a complete run -1 point if player stumbles If the player misses a rung, they must stop and move on to next section - no points awarded Section 4: The player must attempt to throw all 3 balls in the target using the throw-in technique. 1 point for each successful ball Section 5 & 6 As section 2 Section 6: 2 bonus points awarded if player scores without hitting a cone. Results Total up the points awarded and record, as well as the time taken to complete course. Feedback results to the player, offering advice and support. Identify areas of strength and areas that can be developed. ALWAYS ensure that the player leaves the session feeling positive about their results.
