Two teams of 4 and one goal keeper The idea of this is to get the attacking team to judge the high ball, pick it up and then build in to an attack. The keeper will start with a high clearance to one of the attackers. They must judge the ball, either chest or trap. Encourage the player to call his name when attacking the ball.. Step 1 will not allow any pressure on the ball from the defending team. When the ball if under control of the attacking team, encourage the wingers to run outside the full backs to allow space between the fullback and the centre back for a pass. When on the wing, the winger from the other side can get in to the box, along with the other midfielders for a scoring chance. Encourage communication. Encourage one midfielder to hang back on the edge of the area if the others are running in. If need be, the winger can shoot if they are in a position to. Step 2 - Allow the defenders to pressure the high ball. If the defending team gets the ball, they can play it back to the coach on the half way line.
