Separate players in two groups as shown in the image. Each player on a cone. Distance between the two teams aproximately 5 meters. Place tall cones on each end line aproximately 15 meters from the players. PROGRESSION 1 Players facing the coach. They need quickly react to the coaches call e.g. yellow! This means that the players with the yellow bibs become the attackers and have to run towards the tall cones without getting caught by the blue players the defenders. No ball dribbling. PROGRESSION 2 Same sequence but now players react to a visual stimulus e.g coach raising the yellow cone. For advanced groups coach may state that the cone raised e.g. yellow cone, is now related to the defenders. PROGRESSION 3 Same sequence but now all players with a ball. On the coaches signal e.g. raising a yellow cone, the attacker (yellow) needs to react and dribble fast beyond the yellow line where he has to take a shot with the inside of the foot and try to hit a cone. The defender (blue) runs to catch the yellow player before passing the yellow line. Make it a competition! 1 POINT- REACHING THE YELLOW LINE 1 EXTRA POINT- IF THEY HIT A CONE
