William Steed Coach, England

DESCRIPTION

One 'team' starts behind a cone roughly at cover/extra cover. One 'batsman' starts in their stance at the crease. The coach hits the ball out just wide of the fielder at cover, as soon as this happens the batsman starts to run a two. The fielder has to get the ball back to the keeper as quickly as possible/before the batsman completes their run. This drill can be adapted so the fielding team tries to stop a quick single by moving the cone closer to the coach. The batsman would then start at the other end of the wicket
