
SKILL FOCUS: Catching and speed. EQUIPMENT: Speed hurdles, cricket ball & marker cones. WHAT TO DO: Set Up: Place marker cones in a circle format (Game area). Place 5 meter from the circle marker ones speed hurdles with a marker cone 10 meters away (refill obstacle). Playing the game: Learners/players line up behind the marker cones in the game area. The teacher with a tennis ball will line up in the middle of the circle. The teacher will throw the ball to each learner in a clock wise manner. After each player had a chance to catch the ball the teacher will change direction and throw the ball to the players in an anti- clocks wise manner. The teacher will then throw the ball at random to any learner. When a learner miss catching the ball they must: Stand on one leg. Stand on their knees. Sit down. They must go refill by running the refill obstacle (run over the speed hurdles and sprint 10 meters. Change the tennis ball after a few turns to a harder ball.
