Guards of The Gates

DESCRIPTION

  • Gates are spaced out on each side of the area.
  • 4 guards on each side of the square guarding the gates.
  • Guard has the task of trying to tag attacking player. Progress to stealing the ball from attacker.
  • All other players will have a ball and will be moving around the area.
  • Players have to try and beat the guard by taking the ball past them.
  • If a player dribbles the ball through the gate, they will score a point.

Coaching Points

  • Looking around for position of guards and other players.
  • Using skills from previous exercise and changing direction when moving with the ball.
  • Teaming up with other players to try and confuse the guards.
