Defenders will be working on play when a striker is trying to 'pin' them inside and around the box. Play will be completed in a channel where the defenders are in a tight space. One will receive back to the defender and look to roll them and lay forward, work specifically on not getting too tight and being rolled. Adjusting to the change of direction from the forward and looking to steal the ball away or keep the attacker backwards.
Defenders will also try and encourage the attacking player onto their weaker side, and look to not only defend by tackling, but also by stealing the ball away and keeping possession.
Will be completed in both 1v1 and 2v2 format
Defenders will join the attackers after their individual work and go up against the strikers in the work they are doing with combinations in and around the box.
