This drill starts off with a ladder, that will work on agility somewhat but essentially is there to get the players feet moving quickly. A variety of different way of acomplishing the ladder will be used to incorporate a variety of different movements and changes in direction, an essential part of agility.
Next comes the cones section which is the most important part. Players must negotiate the course as quickly as possible, but without being 'sloppy' and unbalanced.
Players will start off running from inner cones to outer cones down one side, then switch to the other. Then from inner to inner and outer to outer making the course longer and involving more 'sideways steps'. This will also be repeated down both sides. Last, players will hurdle the ladder, then sprint through the red cones, before negotiating the cones backwards in a jockey like motion, and then sprinting back through the red cones to finish.
