Description
- Two teams play against each other in square. Coach starts with the ball
- Blue team has 6 attempts to work the ball through the square for a player to arrive onto a pass between the square & penalty area before taking a touch & shooting.
- Red team attempts to win back possesion and then score in 1 of the 4 mini goals around the outside of the square.
- If the ball goes 'dead' then play restarts with the coach
- Swap over after 6 attempts
- PROGRESSION: Have to play 5 passes before ball can be played to attacker.
Coaching Points
- Team in possession must give good angles for person on the ball to be able to progress play. Need to think about where they are on the pitch so they can go forward to create opportunity for killer pass.
- Defending team must work as a unit to pressure opposition into making a mistake & react quickly to create 'counter attack' to score goal.
