DESCRIPTION

Objective: Pulse raiser to get players prepared through ball work and dynamic movements and stretches.

Detail:

  • Players are organised in a 20 x 20 area, half of the group positioned outside the square with the other half in a central area.
  • Players on outside with a ball each, players on the inside need to move through a gate before performing a series of techniques (volley. 1/2 volley, thigh volley, chest head, double header, etc).
  • Rotate players after a couple of minutes to allow for rest.
  • When the practice stops for rotation, allow players time for dynamic stretching (open / close gate, lunges, hip rotation, backwards lunges, punters).
  • High intensity dynamic warm up preparing players for a physical demanding session.
  • Quality of movements and techniques.
  • Dynamic stretching should be done until players feel muscle tightness not pain.
