Activation - Building Possession

DESCRIPTION

Detail:

  • Mark out a grid 30 x 20 for the activation.
  • Split the players into groups of 3 (one group of 4) with 2 balls per group.
  • One player works, 2 serve (rotate players as required).
  • In between rotations complete dynamic movements / stretches (open / close the gate, lunges, hip rotations, backwards lunges & punters).
  • Player without ball needs to be dynamic & ready to receive.
  • Short passes played in accurately to either feet.
  • Ball into feet and return, alternate feet, 1-2 touch.
  • High intensity of ball work.
  • Dynamic stretches should be done until players feel muscle tightness not pain
