2v2 on the inside. Players try to pass to their teammates outside the square, and follow their pass to replace that teammate.
Alternate set-up: Grid twice the size with two team cones between each corner cone.
This drill will be most successful if players on the inside move off the ball and stay on the outside of the grid, rather than bunching up in the middle.
It is also helpful to have an extra ball or two nearby for quicker restarts.
