DESCRIPTION

  • Goalkeeper starts at the centre of the goal.
  • 3 servers are placed in front of the goal and have a gate to aim for. 
  • The gate helps the keeper know what ange of the goal they need to cover.
  • Coach shouts either 1, 2, 3, keeper will have to set between the gates and make a save from that server.

Progressions 

  • Goalkeeper to have different starting positions. For example; Their back towards the servers, press up position, etc. 
  • Take the gates away so the keeper will have think about their position. 

COACHING POINTS

Coaching Points 

  • Make sure keepers are in the correct set position before dealing with the shot. 
  • Make the goal look as small as possible by narrowing the angle. 
  • Make sure keeper is in the correct angle and body position.
