DESCRIPTION

4 v 4 in the centre.

  • Teams must get the ball through a gate to their team mate who must take a good touch before playing it back in to their team mates who now attack down the other side of the pitch. 
  • Grey player on the outside behind the goal is not allowed tackle the yellow and vice versa. 
  • If the outside player doesn't control the ball then the grey outside player will start with the ball for his team. 
  • If the ball goes out of play then play restarts with the coach serving in a ball. 

COACHING POINTS

  • Angles and distance of support
  • Accuracy, weight and timing of the pass
  • Concentration and movement with the play, particularly for the player on the outside who may not feel like they are involved but are key to this game. 
  • Creating width in the play so you can create space.
