1. Pass to right side of cone. Receive with instep, move to the right and pass back. After one minute switch to passing on left side. After another minute receive with the outside of the foot. After another minute pass to the other side of the cone receiving with the outside of the foot.
2. Same as 1 except these are longer passes and the player follows the pass to get in the back of the opposite line.
3a. Set up grids with three players to a grid. The player at the top cone passes to the player at the bottom of the grid and follows their pass to take that spot. The player at the bottom of the grid receives the ball with the instep and dribbles to the left between the cones then passes to third player who should be at the top cone. He passes the ball through the grid and play continues. After about 2 minutes have the players dribble out to the right cones.
3b. Same as 3a except the top cone is placed further out about 20 yards from the top of the grid.
4. Set up even number of players on both sides of the grid. First player plays a ball as the ooposite player runs in to grid to receive. They should receive with the instep and dribble out of the box to the right going to the back of the line they started in. The next player of the line that receives feeds a ball into the opposite side who receives in the box and dribbles out to the right. Keep alternating sides. Switch to dribbling out to left and then do the same with the outside of the foot.
5. Players line up in even numbers opposite each other. One touch pass through the gates and run to back of line. Progress to one touch passing and then back peddaling to the same line they were in.
6a. Set up one cone for each player in a circle. Players pass to anyone in the circcle and then run to that cone. The player can receive anyway they want and can pass to whomever they want and then take tat space.
6b. Player on the forward cone passes to the player on the right forward cone. That player one touches back then runs to back cone. Player on that back cone makes a run around the cone to the right and receives a leading pass. They one or two touch it to the player on the next leading cone, etc.
1. Start at a slow place as this is the first activity to start warming up the muscles. Passes need to be firm. First touch on receipt should be to the side they want to move. Add body fakes.
2. All passes should be on the floor. Using the laces to make a long pass is acceptable as long as it is accurate and low. Run to opposite line should be at 50% effort. Receipt of ball should remain close and move in the direction to make the next pass.
3. Firm accurate passes through the grid. Receivers first touch should be in the direction they want to dribble. Keep up a fast work rate.
4. The run and pass must be timed so the ball is received on the run in the box. First touch must be clean to keep up a high work rate.
5. Passes must be accurate and on the ground in order to make it through the gates cleanly. Run to back of next line should be at least 60% effort.
6a. Quick decision and quick passes. Move the ball on receipt in the opposite direction of the runner. Use combination plays and leading passes.
6b. Run through this slowly the first time then push the pace up. Passes and receipts need to be accurate to keep the flow. Always be ready, on toes.
