playing through the midfield

DESCRIPTION

4 cones set up as 4 across midfield,

  1. passes into midfield player, gets the ball back and plays a through ball into the path of midfield player
  2. sets ball back to deep player then makes a run through the midfield gets the ball back and passes into the striker
  3. when midfield player recieves the ball the striker should make a move away in opposit direction of midfielders run then back in recieve the ball and finish

Progress by adding in a defender and creating a 2v1, and deeper player coming forward to create a 3v1

COACHING POINTS

  1. Comunication
  2. Looking over shoulder
  3. first time set back then move into space
  4. striker movement and timing of run
  5. Striker reacts to direction midfielder takes
  6. Decision Making
