I have an excellent player once he is open but if he is mark he always turn into the mark, instead away from his mark, is there a drill that I can use to help the player to step to the open space instead of into the mark.
Thanks
This drill this should help. The players on the poles move towards the ball as it is played and the passer calls turn in. The player can use the pole to push from as it simulates the marker. The player responds to this and turns in. The drill can be repeated by moving the poles or cones across to the other side. If he moves forward at the right time is should give him enough time to turn and take on the player.
