How do I teach channel passing?

What are some good drills to teach 10/11 year olds how to identify and pass into the channels?

I use a small sided game where there are 2 players 1 from either team in a coned of channel of around 5 yards either side. When the ball is passed in to the channel the player on the team has an uncontested 10 seconds in the channel where the aim is to gain ground going forward. After ten seconds the ball is released to the other team if a pass isn`t made. Sorry I don`t have an illistration
